Darkness

Sometimes the sadness overwhelms me

And I feel the urge to cry for no reason

I can't help but hide within my shell

For fear if I come out it'll be my heart's treason

My soul is lost in a deep dark abyss

The shadows consume my very heart

I can't escape without the tears falling

And my heart is in pieces, shattered apart

Sometimes I feel I've lost my soul forever

No more will I ever see the light

My heart, my soul gone into darkness

And love erased from my very sight
