And make the world turn their heads to see!

I can't live my life without you

I need you here by my side

You promised you'd never stop fighting

We're not even done with Love's ride

Please don't leave me now

I need you to be here with me

I don't know how I'm going to do this

I love you so much, can't you see?

We're meant to be for one another

And if you leave this earth I will go too

Without you my life is nothing

I will always love only you!



Family

Family is such a strong word
But what does it really mean?
You don't have to be blood
And believe me it's not a dream!

Family are those that you love
Deep within you soul, your heart
They are who you think about
Right when your day is about to start

Family are the people you can turn to
Whenever you feel down or blue
They're also the ones who help you laugh
And they'll always love you too!

Words

Once my words are written down
There is no going back to the start
Unless I decide to erase these words
Then this poem would be taken apart

I have to write to share with you
All my thoughts and my dreams
I must write before I forget

Before everything is ripped at the seams

So take with you my poetic words
And do with them what you will
But never forget what I have written
Because no matter what it'll be there still

Don't Judge Me

Who are you to judge me?
You don't know the life I live!
What makes you think you are better?
FYI, I have a lot of love to give!

Don't judge me unless you walk in my shoes,
Don't ever think you can tell me what to do!
I don't judge you and tell you how to live,

So I expect that you'll give me this respect too!

Who are you to judge me?
Who do you think you are?
You are no different than me
What makes you think you'll go far?

Into the Light

After awhile you learn the subtle difference

between holding a hand and chaining a soul,

And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning

and company doesn't mean security,

And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts

and presents aren't promises.

And you begin to accept your defeats with your

head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult

and not the grief of a child.

And you learn to build all of your roads on today

because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.

After awhile you learn that even sunshine can

burn if you get too much.

So you plant your own garden and decorate your

own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers

for my Aunts

They say that family isn't always blood

And this I know this to be true

Because I have an Aunt I love dearly

And this Aunt would be you! 

You always seem to be there for me

With a kind word or two

I know that you love me dearly

Just by the things you say or do

I wanted to say to you

With pride in my heart

That I'm very glad you're my Aunt

You have been from the very start!

Just want you to know you mean the world to me
It doesn't matter if we're blood or not you see

You are my cousin whom I love with all my heart
And you have been one since the very start

Nobody could ever replace you in my mind
You are always so loving and so very kind

I just want you to know how much I love you
Because we are family and best of friends too

The Battle

The battle has just begun

This cancer is pulling from me

Taking away who I am

Not enabling me to see

The battle has just begun

It's now live or die

Sometimes I want to give up

I just don't understand why

The battle has just begun

The chemo makes me feel weak

I don't know if I can do this

Where is the help that I seek?

The battle has just begun

And I don't feel very strong

But everyone says I am

And I wonder, could they be wrong?

The battle has just begun

I can't stand feeling oh so tired

I miss the way things used to be

When sometimes I would be wired

The battle has just begun

I just want to end this now

I don't know where to turn

And I sure don't know how...
