You Say...

You say you can't write poetry

I say that's a complete lie

Just pick up a pen and write your thoughts

Even if it does make you want to cry

Don't ever doubt the talents you have

I believe everyone could write if they just try

Your thoughts on paper is poetry in emotion

So don't ever doubt or ask the how or why!

Cold Days, Warm Nights

Cold days seem to get longer

Warm nights never last

But memories of our love together

And how we always seem to have a blast!

Cold days will soon get shorter

And Warm nights will come and stay

Because it's our love that helps endure this

And it has always been that way!

Alone

Everyone has abandoned me
I'm lost in a deep dark sea of abyss
I'm drowning with no-one to save me

I guess my life nobody will miss

I feel so alone
I feel so down and sad
I just want to feel love again
And to be able to be glad

Everyone has forgotten me
I don't know if they'll want me back
I think it's just time to just give up
There is nothing that they'll lack

Alone and set in my depression
Alone and missing those that I love
I just need someone to tell me
Am I their gift from Heaven above?

A Life Gone Too Soon

A life gone too soon
Not even a chance to live
She was so young and beautiful
She had so much to give

I can't believe this is real
I can't believe she's gone now
I don't know the words I could say
I'm trying to remember but how?

A life gone too soon
She was like a sister to me
I will always love and miss her
Now she has no pain, she's free

Elena, you were so much to us all
We all love and miss you so much
You have braught us such joy
And it's our hearts you did touch!

I Will Not Fade...

I will not fade away into nothing

I will not quit, I will not die or give!

I will not do any of these things

Because it's for you that I do live!

I will not allow others to tear me apart

I will not shatter nor will I break

I am strong just the way I am.

It's because of you that I do wake!

I know I am worth so much more

I know you will always love me

And I do believe this love we have will last

And we were always meant to be!

Not Often

Not often do you find a love that's true

Not often will that love come to you

A rare and lucky few will find the one

They will be joyful and bright like the sun

When you find this love hold on tight

Don't ever let it out of your sight

Hold fast and stay faithful and strong

For this love you have will last forever long

So, not often do you find a love that's true

But when you do, you'll know it was meant for you!



Lifetimes

Once I wake up
I go about the daily grind
Seems the norm
But it's my soul I need to find

I have lived this life before
So many eons ago
Now I'm living this life again
Same soul, new body to show

It seems each lifetime
I've been looking for my love
Now I have found him again
He's like a gift given from Heaven above

Each lifetime I spend with him
Is pure and utter bliss
My soul has finally found peace
Because it was his love that I did miss

Day in and day out
I go about this thing
With him by my side
My soul and my heart does sing

Valentine's Day

On this special day

Lovers all share in their delight

They give of each other

It's such a wonderful sight

I don't need a special day

To tell him that I love him so

It's something I do all the time

It is how our love does grow

Happy Valentine's Day

They all say with such glee

But for me it's all year round

Because it's his love he shares with me
