How sad to be a rain drop,
To fall out from a cloud,
To just whiz on through the air,
And plummet to the ground.
How short that life must be,
How quickly it is over,
How sad to be reduced,
To a dew upon a clover.
How sad to be a rain drop,
To be wished away by all,
To think you once were so big,
And then find out you're so small.
How sad it is to be erased,
Wiped out from the world,
To be quickly replaced,
Never to be missed, unfurled.
How sad it is to not be seen,
As separate from the group,
To be clumped with the others,
In a never ending loop.
How sad it is to be so small,
Ignored in so many ways,
And never seen as beautiful,
Just annoying, a pain that stays
How sad it is to be dried up,
By the sun and constant heat.
How horrible to just disappear,
Leaving no trace you were there, deceit.
To fall out from a cloud,
To just whiz on through the air,
And plummet to the ground.
How short that life must be,
How quickly it is over,
How sad to be reduced,
To a dew upon a clover.
How sad to be a rain drop,
To be wished away by all,
To think you once were so big,
And then find out you're so small.
How sad it is to be erased,
Wiped out from the world,
To be quickly replaced,
Never to be missed, unfurled.
How sad it is to not be seen,
As separate from the group,
To be clumped with the others,
In a never ending loop.
How sad it is to be so small,
Ignored in so many ways,
And never seen as beautiful,
Just annoying, a pain that stays
How sad it is to be dried up,
By the sun and constant heat.
How horrible to just disappear,
Leaving no trace you were there, deceit.
