My Grandmother's amethyst I wear today
So beautiful and purple a quartz it'll stay
I treasure it always because it's rare indeed
Grandmother gave it to me during my time of need
She knew that I might need just a little luck
When some of life's trials have got me stuck
She knew I'd miss her when she went Heavenly bound
I'm often feeling lost when I know that I am found
My Grandmother's amethyst I shall always keep
Even though when I look at it I tend to cry, to weep
I will always treasure it and hold it close to me
When I look at it, it's my Grandmother's eyes I see
Grandmother's amethyst was a gift given of love
And now she's an Angel watching me from Heaven above
