The sky is a light shade of blue
There are puffy little white clouds everywhere
I sit on a lawn chair and enjoy the view
It makes me glad I'm alive and here
I sit and watch the world go by
I see a bird flying low to get some seed
I sit here and I'm wondering why
When there seems to be nothing that I need
The sky is a beautiful and lovely shade
Just enjoying what nature has to give
Makes me glad that nothing will fade
And very glad that today and tomorrow I live
