Grateful

I often sit here wondering about things,

Such as my life and the people in it.

I'll sit and think about all those that I love,

And I'm amazed at how well they fit!

I'm grateful to all the friends I've made.

I'm saddened by those I've lost...

But no matter what happens I'll be here.

Even if it takes forever no matter the cost!

I've met people from all over the world...

I can't imagine my life without those far and wide.

If things were reversed would they be grateful?

Are any of them glad to have me on their side?

Either way I'm still very grateful...

Without my friends and family I would be naught.

I have met the love of my life...

And I didn't know it was I that he saught!

I've made cherished friends who are now family,

I have a new goal in my life...

I will be happy, grateful to what they bring me.

And because of them I'm done with strife!
