Wonderful Song

There's nothing quite as wonderful

in all the world as song.

Especially when I can get

my friends to sing along.

But even when I'm all alone

a song is company.

I sing of places far away

that I can't wait to see.

I sing about my dreams and know

that they'll come true someday.

And when the doubts and fears creep in,

a song shoos them away.

Sometimes I find it hard to say

the thoughts inside my head,

But then I think of music,

and I sing my thoughts instead.

Sometimes I feel like I'll just burst,

and I run off to hide,

'Cause no one seems to understand

the way I feel inside.

But when I sing, my spirits lift.

It never takes that long

Because there's something magical
