Challenge

I have a challenge, a dare if you will

I want you to walk a day in my shoes

Tell me when it's over what happened

Were you happy or did you feel the blues

I challenge you all to do this today

Walk in my shoes and try to be me

Live my life and do what I do daily

Then maybe you'll understand and see

When it is over don't show me pity

Just understand the person I am

I may not be perfect, beautiful, or pretty

But I couldn't care less about all that glam

Try living my life for just one day

And you'll feel and see everything that I do

Then maybe without all the saddness and gloom

You'll come out different, someone brand new

I gladly give you all this challenge

Please try it and you'll soon see

You'll understand everything from now on

And you'll know what it's like to be me
