The Moral Is...

Once I dreamed of a knight in shining armor

But now I know I don't need a knight at all

Once I dreamed of someone who'll rescue me

And who'd be there at my beckoning call

I don't need to be dependent on another

I don't need that hero who would save me

I can be strong enough to help myself

I know all this now because it's the truth I see

All girls dream of that knight or that hero

All girls dream of that one guy they can love

But the truth is you must love yourself first

Then your love will be shared even from above

The moral of this poem is one and the same

You don't need someone to be strong for you

All you need is to trust and love yourself first

Then you can find the one who could love you too
