I cannot tell a lie, it was the dog

At the time of the offence I was up a tree

The missing item from the kitchen table

Well, it certainly is not inside of me!

That dog just looks dumb and stupid

And I think I would have to agree

But I take pity on him, he's just a mongral

Not like me, a fine feline and a pedigree.
