Friend, I Miss You

Sometimes I wish we could be friends again

But I understand if this is not what you want

I will not force a friendship upon you

The memories I cherish will never haunt

I remember the times we'd do our poetry smacks

Those were fun times I will always cherish

I am thankful for our brief friendship we shared

These memories I have will never perish

I do miss talking to you but I have grown since

I'm happy where my life has braught me

I wish I could show you how much I've grown

And I wish there was a way for you to see

I just want to say thank you for the memories

And if wasn't for you I wouldn't be here

I now have the most promising future ever

And a boyfriend with whom my life I now share

So if this is good-bye let it be on a good note

I will miss our friendship, this will always be true

But I am happy with how my life is right now

And I just wanted you to know how much I miss you
