I Sit in Total Darkness

I sit in total darkness with nothing but my hopes and dreams

I sit here thinking about the ones I love and my life today

I'll try to write a sonnet, a verse, or maybe even a poem

To let them know how I feel because I can't find the words to say

I sit in total darkness with you crossing my vacant mind

I sit here and I wonder if you'll be the one who'll let me grow

And become the woman I want to be today and forever more

So I write and hope and dream... my seeds of love I sow
