I Am Shunned

I am shunned for my beliefs,

But do I care what they say?

Who says what they believe is true?

Who says the night can't be day?

I am shunned, but I care not,

Because I know my faith is strong.

I have the love of my family and friends.

I don't see how that makes me so wrong!

So what if my beliefs differ from yours.

Doesn't make you all the wiser.

I have my faith and you have yours.

So stop treating me like some old miser!

My love beliefs are different from mine,

But he never once asked me to change.

I love him just as he is, beliefs and all!

And no, that doesn't make me strange.
