Depression

Depression has hit me hard today

I can't think without shedding a tear

I don't know why it can't leave me alone

And what is it that I have to fear?

Depression has settled within my soul

And it's making my heart feel so weighted

I want this burden to go away right now

But it has settled as I had already stated

Depression wants to destroy the person I am

Because it doesn't like when I feel glad 

It's heavy deep within the heart of me 

And it seems that all I know is to be sad
