What If?

What if there were no Heaven or Hell?

What if what we believe to be Hell is where we are today?

What if this cruel planet we live on is our damnation?

I wonder why it is we go on living each and every day?

If this were Hell then what would be Heaven?

Is Heaven actually there when we die?

Do we escape and become free of our hurts?

Are we where we'll never shed a tear to cry?

What if what isn't is and what is isn't?

What if down is really up and up is down?

What if what we see really isn't there?

What if happiness is really when we frown?

Sometimes I think this world is backwards

And what we know is nothing but a dream

With how this world is today I wouldn't be surprised

I mean think about it... isn't that how it really seems?
