Bipolar

There are days that I have my ups

And there are days that I have my downs

I cannot tell the nature of my being 

It could easily go from a smile to a frown

Sometimes I'll wake up in a very good mood

But all it takes is one little item to set me off

This is what it means to be Bipolar 

And I know many of you will scoff

Try having mood swings at a drop of a dime

When one minute you're happy, the next you're sad

Try explaining yourself to people who don't understand

When they mention it wasn't that long ago you were glad

There are days that I have my ups

And there are days that I have my downs

The difference is that I am seeking the help I need

So hopefully you'll see so much more than my frown!
