I Wanted To Write You A Poem

I wanted to write you a poem

To tell you what you mean to me

I wanted to write a sonnet 

Just so you can begin to see

I wanted to write down my words

But fear is holding me back

Since you aren't able to understand

I just don't understand what I lack

I wanted to share something with you

I guess that won't happen the way I want

I only wanted to tell you I love you

But my poetry to you I will not flaunt
