Searching

What I was yesterday is what I am today

Is today any better than the day before?

Will I go through this life an unknown?

Or will I be something special, so much more?

I walk this world seeking answers I cannot find

When will I find the clues to my past?

They're just there, right out of my grasp

I can't hold on... I wish I could make it last!

What I was is what I will always be

Sometimes I think that might be best

For if I wasn't the person I am now

My heart wouldn't be beating beneath my breast!

So I search... I wander... and I seek

Looking for answers that aren't always there

But there is one thing that I do know in my heart

It's that you love me and you'll always care!
